Charlotte, North Carolina is perfectly located, with The Blue Ridge Mountains just two hours to the west, and beautiful Carolinas beaches only 3 hours to the east. Charlotte is also halfway between the northeastern states and the sunny climate of Florida.  Many residents choose to spend summers here in Charlotte and winters further south. Charlotte has four distinct seasons, with gorgeous fall color and the occasional snowfall in winter - which usually lasts only a few days before it melts away - no weeks and weeks of slush and dirty snow.

North Carolina is a very large state going east to west, with quite a variety of terrain and climate.
